LON-CAPA for IT-Managers

LON-CAPA is open-source freeware which runs on Intel/AMD-hardware under a number of different Linux-distributions. It is highly scalable, as both additional backend and session machines can be added anytime with minimal downtime. The system implements load-balancing at several levels, both with a frontend load-balancer or on a peer-to-peer basis. LON-CAPA also runs on virtual machines and in SAN environments.
